Canadian Greg Morissette is the newest international recruit to the Subiaco Lacrosse Club. Part of the Graduate Exchange program, Greg arrived in June and is set to contribute to the club’s youth development initiatives when he starts coaching the U/15 teams and younger.
“I’m excited to start coaching,” says the 22 year old from Woodstock, Ontario, where lacrosse is widely played and understood. “In Perth it’s still growing. There’s some very skilled players here, but the experience of playing all the time isn’t there yet. I’m looking forward to sharing my experience and knowledge of the game with the young players over here.”
A finance graduate from Lynn University in Florida, Greg is playing for the Subiaco Lacrosse Club, living with team mates, and working full time as an investment analyst for Manton Capital. His feeling is that the minimum one year term could easily turn into two. “The days go by pretty quick when you love what you’re doing,” he says.
